What a treat it was to have the Sheldon and Karma bring Mom and Dad to Kirtland. We were so excited to see them Saturday night along with Whitney and Jordan. Sunday they joined us at church and then came over later to take a tour of Historic Kirtland. It was fun to show off the many places that we had just shared in letters. I think that most of all we were looking forward to showing off the areas that Great Grandpa Johnson was a part of. First the School of the Prophets where the Word of Wisdom was shared and then the sawmill and ashery

and the Johnson home.

It is kind of special to know that we had ancestors that walked these
grounds and were a part of the early history of the church.

On Monday we started with a sourdough pancake breakfast (I'm getting better at them each time) and then headed down the highway and stopped at the Quarry,

Chagrin Falls,

Johnson Farm and then the End of the Commons.

We topped it off with dinner at Mary Yoders.
Tuesday they all came out to the Morley Farm where we shared the special stories of that peaceful place. Thanks Karma and Sheldon for coming to Kirtland and for bringing Mom and Dad and for making it such a special time.
